Deanna Filosa has been diagnosing and prescribing financial strategies for physicians, professionals, and business owners for over 25 years. She has helped hundreds of residents/fellows transform from financial newbies, living paycheck to paycheck; to confident, debt-free, financially independent physicians.
Deanna has been an annually featured lecturer at the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University and NYIT COM for over 25 years.
She serves on the Board of Directors for Cost of Freedom, Inc, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of our Servicemen and Servicewomen returning from combat. In 2021 she was recipient of the MassMutual Foundation Community Service Award to further the mission and expand Cost of Freedom’s programs.
Deanna serves on an advisory committee for a Fortune 100 financial services company. Her leadership roles have included Chair of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and Improving the Client Experience.
Deanna has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Rutgers University. She also holds the following designations: Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), and Chartered Special Needs Consultant (ChSNC™) from the American College.
Deanna and her husband John live in Huntington, New York. They have 3 children currently pursing their undergraduate and graduate degrees. When not in the office, Deanna can be found hiking, biking, learning how to line dance and planning her next trip to Italy!
